Furiganaize shines for intermediate and upper-intermediate learners (roughly N3–N1) who can already read but keep hitting new words. Furigana on every kanji means beginners can use it too — it just grows with you.
Every word you save enters a spaced-repetition schedule. Furiganaize brings each word back right before you'd forget it — 1 day, then 3 days, a week, a month — so a few minutes a day is enough to keep hundreds of words.
No. Miss a day and nothing breaks — the schedule simply adjusts. Daily reviews are ideal, but Furiganaize is built around real life, not streaks.
Click any word in your reading to see its reading, meaning and JLPT level, then save it to your wordbook in one tap. It's in your review queue from that moment on.
Yes — paste text or import TXT, SRT/VTT subtitles and EPUB books. Read the news, novels or your favorite shows, and turn any of them into vocabulary you keep.
Not yet — your words stay inside Furiganaize for now. Export options (including Anki-friendly formats) are on our roadmap, so the vocabulary you build won't be locked in.
Yes — converting text and saving up to 50 words is free. Pro ($5/month) adds PDFs, longer texts and an unlimited wordbook.
Not yet. Your wordbook lives in this browser. Accounts with cross-device sync are coming soon.
Right now your wordbook is stored locally in this browser, so clearing site data will remove it. Cloud sync and backup are on the way — until then, we recommend not clearing Furiganaize's data.
No. Morphological analysis and dictionary lookups all run locally in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded anywhere.
They're very reliable, but automatic analysis (kuromoji) can occasionally misread names, rare readings or unusual compounds. If something looks off, trust your judgment — you can always switch the furigana display or check the reading yourself.
